After a two year hiatus, British label Bionda Castana has returned with a smaller selection of its most loved shoes and an interesting and more sustainable business model. Using leftover materials and components created during its 15 years of business, founders Jennifer Portman and Natalia Barbieri create monthly collections of four styles from the brand’s archive. For five days from the first Wednesday of the month the books are open, orders placed and the required number are made in its original Milan factory and delivered direct to the customer within three weeks. Got that? March’s menu includes the Bay (pictured top, £375), an elegant leather and mesh pointed ballerina.
